State of the art and sustainable
The first-in-class active pitch system adjusts the wind turbine’s blade angle to optimize aerodynamic efficiency, reduce startup speeds, and govern rotor speed. The airfoil is the product of our extensive research into the most effective way to capture wind energy. similar to an airplane wing but to generate electricity.
A generator with axial flux topology allows for higher torque density, with reduced weight and space volume that ensures greater efficiency compared to other topologies and lowest material used per kilowatt. The yokeless stator and dual rotor design simplify the manufacture of the generator by eliminating the potential air gap effect of the bobbin and reducing copper and iron losses.
Real-time wind measurement using the mounted LiDAR technology enables our turbine to instantly detect variations in wind speed and direction to configure the system accordingly. Turbines equipped with SCADA can access our meteorological database for advanced analytics, accurate power production forecast at various times of the year and instant alarm to inform turbine issues. Unlike utility-scale wind turbines that use unrecyclable fiberglass and epoxy resin to manufacture blades, our wind turbine blades are made out of recycled aluminum. This protects the turbine against lightning and makes it an easy piece to recycle. The rest of the turbine is made out of steel with minimum use of plastic.
We’ve built our smart wind turbine with a modular and reusable approach to ensure its durability and to fulfill the growing need for renewable energy. Our turbines allow two or more generators to run in series for added capacity. Additionally, the sturdy rotor arms make the replacement of the current blades with larger ones possible.
