The advanced urban wind turbine powered by AI. This machine is capable of dynamically adjust to real-time environmental shifts, reducing reliance on storage solutions. Our inhouse designed axial flux generator ensures high efficiency and low maintenance needs. The turbine has vertically oriented blades with active-pitch control, it maximizes power generation by capturing wind energy from all directions.

What is an axial flux generator?

In an axial flux generator, also known as a pancake generator, the rotor is a flat disk of magnets which rotates on a shaft above a flat ring of stator coils. The efficiency, power density, and torque of axial flux generators are higher than those of radial flux generators.

A trio of high-performance smart linear motors actuates the blades. These motors come equipped with fully integrated force and position sensing solutions, ensuring silent operation, rapid response, and low power consumption. Their characteristics make them well-suited for this specific application.

What is a smart linear motor?

A Magnetic Force Feedback Motor with an electromagnetic control system that manipulates magnetic fields to control position, acceleration and most importantly the force of an actuator. These motors are inherently force controlled which means they can be commanded to exert a specific level of force directly.
The mechanical operation of magnetic force feedback is elegantly simple. The device consists of a thin walled stainless steel tube lined with permanent magnets. This shaft assembly is then placed inside an array of copper coils, a current is passed through these coils, and an electro magnetic flux is created. This flux is manipulated by the control software, which in turn generates complex waveforms that move the shaft in predictable ways. The high speed and force capabilities can be accurately controlled to produce complex feedback to the user that can create ultra realistic force feedback.
